Our team presents version 1.13.0 with mid-game jump ball new functionality, updated tip-in workflow to accommodate fast breaks, and some bugs fixing.
Improvements, enhancements, and functionalities from the release:
- A mid-game jump ball functionality is now available for the users who compete on every jump ball occurrence during the game and do not use the alternating possession arrow.
- Fast Break with tip-in made - Users can now stop the game clock in the overtime period at any point and close the game (for the leagues, which uses 'Target Score Period Ending')
- A bug where the 'Shot Clock' violation when selected from the Rebounding screen was not added to team turnovers but added to 'total turnovers' is now fixed
- Synergy Stats crashing on search in fixtures screen bug is also fixed
- A bug where the app starts 'flickering' when the browser window resolution is set to 1920x 943 due to adjusting and re-adjusting is not
Mid-Game Jump Ball
Some non-FIBA leagues worldwide use jump balls to resume the game with two opposing players competing for a jump ball to settle special situations where penalties cancel out and neither team is previously entitled to the ball, possession is not determined, and to settle any held balls.
Synergy Stats now accommodates in-game jump ball functionality and when clicking on the Jump Ball button after the initial one (tip-off jump ball) in the course of the game, the users will see a new screen, where the 2 contestants for the jump ball will be present, along with team possession to resume the game. This functionality will not impact the possession arrow's direction and behavior but will change team possession.
The game clock will start the same way as in the initial jump ball and the play-by-play will have information on the jump ball contestants populated.
Note: The alternating possession arrow is still valid but only for quarter start's possession and ball direction. It will not be linked to the mid-game jump ball.
Synergy Stats action log play by play for the mid-game jump ball (example: held ball after missed shot).
Mid-game jump ball can also be activated via the Rebounding screen. If the user selects Jump Ball a pop-up window for contesting jump ball will appear.
